Mom Sleeping on Air Mattress

I just got an email from Rosa Parks School (the school we meet in). A single mom with two children (10 and 16) is in great need. The mom is sleeping on an AIR MATTRESS and they have no dining room or living room furniture. They are sitting and eating on the floor! Here’s a list of things the family needs:

  • Christmas Gifts for Mom and two children
  • Small dining table with Chairs
  • Sofa/Love seat or Living Room Chairs
  • Queen or Full Size Bed with frame
  • Clothing for Mom and two children (we’ve been told that they need underclothes – underwear & socks)
    • Mom wears a Medium (a nice jumpsuit would be great)
    • 16-year-old girl wears a size 0-2/Small
    • 10-year-old boy wears a size 12-14 and likes boxers, t-shirts, and wrestling
  • Bed & Bath Linens
  • Kitchen Supplies
    • Towels
    • Utensils
    • Pots/Pans
  • Home Essentials
    • Laundry Soap
    • Toiletries
    • Paper Products

If you can help please email Erin Velez at Rosa Parks velez.erin@unionps.org. No mom should have to sleep on an air mattress and no child should have to sit and eat on the floor.
