Sunday we kicked off the new series reSOULution and unveiled our vision to reach 300 people on Easter. If you missed it you can listen to the complete message here.

Why 300? Great question. Connection Church exists to reach those who are far from God. Last summer our leadership team gathered to dream about the future and what could be with God’s help. Easter 2009 we had 150. So, we thought what if we doubled that in 2010? Then in December God took me to the story of Gideon and the 300. That’s when I knew it was time to step out and take a risk.

How can we reach 300 people on Easter? I’m reminded of the saying, “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” One person can’t bring 300, but 100 people can bring 3. So, I want to encourage you to pray and ask God to reveal 3 people to you that are far from God. This might be a neighbor, co-worker, classmate, or friend. Can you imagine Easter Sunday with 150+ unchurched gathering to hear the hope of Jesus Christ!

In 2009 a dozen people became followers of Jesus Christ and 15 were baptized. Imagine if one of those people in 2010 were your neighbor, co-worker, classmate or friend. That’s my prayer for you this year.
