Acts 17 (Key verse, Acts 17:23)
Reflect
How would you explain who God is to non-believers?
How would you respond to opposition?
Respond
Acts 17:6 is underlined in my Bible.
Paul and Silas have turned the rest of the world upside down, and now they are here disturbing our city.
In the margin I wrote “May this be my story.”
People can spread a lot of negativity about you. This negativity is the most positivity that could be said about a Christ follower. Are you “turning your world upside down and disturbing your neighborhood, workplace, or school?”
May this be our story at Connection Church.
You and I weren’t created to fly solo. Notice they didn’t say “Paul has turned…” or “Silas has turned…” They said “Paul AND Silas have turned…” Throughout the New Testament you see that no one worked alone. Jesus sent his disciples out together and the early church did the same. That’s why the local church is so critical in our lives. We grow in relationship with God by being in relationship with God’s people.
