Dear Carter,

Yesterday God said, “It’s time.” Before this world began God thought of you. He has chosen you for this time and this place. You are here by His design to accomplish His purposes and His plans.

This world is a hard and difficult place. But, it is also a place of great wonder and adventure. Remember that life is a journey and not a destination. Love deeply, give generously, take risks, and enjoy each day to the fullest.

Never stop going after your dreams and don’t fear failure. Instead fear God. Failure is a given. You will fail. It is in the moment you fail that you must find the strength to stand and then walk again. That’s where God will equip, shape, and restore you to the man you were meant to become.

Hug your mom and tell her you love her because she sacrifices so much for you.
Listen to your dad because he knows what he’s talking about.
Love Jesus because He is the source of life.
