Hang on

Throughout my life I’ve had to hang on…

When I was 18 yrs old, newly married, with a baby on the way. Living in a small one bedroom apartment and working on a loading dock…I held on.

When I was fired from my successful morning show career and spent the next 2 years throwing newspapers, digging graves, and cutting hams…I held on.

When the adoption stretched from 2 weeks, to 2 months, to 2 years…I held on.

The men and women of the Bible all have one thing in common. They held on.

Abraham held on to a promise.
Noah held on though there was no sign of rain.
Moses held on when faced with a sea and then a desert.
David held on despite a kings threats and pursuit.
Paul held on through persecution and prison.

[9] “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. [10] For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Luke 11:9-10

Hang on, help is on the way.
