This past Sunday Connection Church and Family Church officially became one church. 538 people gathered to celebrate and worship together. What an incredible day. People parking in the grass, kids rooms overflowing, we ran out of food and drinks for the lunch, and the front of the auditorium was lined up with people fully surrendering their lives to God. Guess you could say that God blew away our expectations. He clearly and loudly put his stamp of approval on what we are doing. Make no mistake about it, he is with us.
It took an incredible amount of energy and hard work from a dedicated group of volunteers. If you put your muscle into the past few weeks to help us get ready, let me say a big “thank you.” God used you to get his house ready. But, we’re not done yet. In fact, we’re just getting started. We need volunteers in just about every area. If you’re not on a serving team click here to get involved.
Do numbers really matter?
Sunday God entrusted us with 538 of his people.
Every number has a name.
Every name has a story.
Every story matters to God.
Here’s one of those stories…
The week before we launched a married couple had decided to separate and divorce. They showed up on Sunday and God moved in their lives. At the end of the service they came forward and rededicated themselves to God and to their marriage.
Every story matters to God.
