Last week we had to put $470 into one of our vehicles. Money we didn’t have. Last night Laura was counting up all the extra money we have gotten in the past couple of weeks…$470! Coincidence? No. In our 26 years of marriage I have seen God do this over and over again. I still remember when our oldest son, Steven, was only 3. The radio station I worked for had gotten several weeks behind in payroll. When I opened the frig for dinner, all I found was a hot dog and packet of ketchup from McDonald’s. So, Laura and I sat at the table, thanked God and watched our boy eat. That was a really rough moment for me. However, the next day someone filled our porch with sacks of grocery’s. No one knew what we were facing. But God did and he came through in a big way.

years ago Steve and I were in Avanal California where he was stationed in the Navy. We were away from home and broke. We had just rented a small place to live and it took all we had to do that. I was scared because we didn’t know how we were going to make it until the end of the month. I was ironing his dress white uniform and couldn’t iron out this lump in his top inner pocket. When I poked my fingers into the pocket I found the pocket had $20.00 folded up in a tight block. $20.00 isn’t much now but back then it was like finding $100.00 now. Found money, no it was God meeting our needs. I will never forget being scared and away from home for the first time……. then God showed up and met our need.
