Acts 28 Day Reading Challenge: Day 6

Read
Acts 6 (Key verse, Acts 6:8)

Reflect
What does it mean to be full of God’s grace and power?
If you were arrested for your faith, what would be your defense?

Respond
When we think about leadership we usually don’t think about a food distribution program. I wonder what would have become of Stephen if he had said, “Hand out food? I don’t think so.” Because Stephen said “yes” he went on to perform amazing miracles and signs. Not only that, but his willingness to die for his Savior led to the greatest growth the church had ever seen. All because he said he would be willing to help hand out some food for the church. When I think of Stephen I think about our Connection Team’s. People who are willing to do whatever it takes to reach a world in need of hope.

  1. Luke 12:11 says,

11 “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”

And we can definitely see that in Stephen’s case in Acts 6. If we are doing what we are called to do as a church then when we come up against opposition the Holy Spirit will teach us what to say.
