Acts 15 (Key verse, Acts 15:19).
Reflect
How do we sometimes make it hard for non-believers to become Christ-followers?
How should we treat non-believers?

Congratulations you’ve made it past the 1/2 way mark!
In Acts 15 legalism began to creep into the church. Some leaders said if you weren’t circumcised you couldn’t be saved. And I thought growing up in the church with “Don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t dance” was tough. There’s a wide chasm between man-made legalism and God’s commands. Legalism is about control. God’s commands are about your freedom. That’s why it’s so important to read God’s Word and check it out for yourself. Test everything against the authority of scripture.
This topic is so close to me. My only blood sibling on this earth is agnostic/atheist because of legalism. She continually says “there are too few “Christians” like you. Everybody else says turn to Jesus or Go to Hell!” She literally decided to not be a Christian anymore because of what other christians said to her. It is so sad, and there is such a large community of people out there that want God, but won’t have anything to do with the church because the church is full of hypocrites. All we can do is lead by example of what a true chuch is. This is why I love connection. We are really going after being a genuine church in a world of social clubs that call themselves churches.
