Acts 28 Day Reading Challenge: Day 20

Acts 20 (Key verse, Acts 20:28)

How does the devil try to discourage your witness for Christ?
How can you overcome the devil’s attempts to discourage you?

Paul says his life is worthless unless he uses it to tell others about Jesus.

There are a lot of careers we can pursue in this life. Paul says that they are worthless unless we use them as a platform to tell others about Jesus.

I know that all too well. For 18 yrs my radio career brought me lots of attention and notoriety. Now it’s all in a cardboard box in the attic. The world has moved on without “Banana” (if you wonder what I mean by “Banana” you have just proven my point :)

People ask me all the time if I miss it. Yes, I miss entertaining people and getting their mornings off to a good start. But, what I miss even more is the platform it gave me to share my faith in Jesus.  That is the one thing that did not get placed in a cardboard box in the attic.

What platform has God given you?

  1. Someone very wise always says that the “devil does his hardest kicking on the way out!” Man, is that true!! I feel like the more I try to align my life with Christ and his word, the worse I get attacked. It’s kind of funny how it happens that way.
I just grab the book for my “counter attack”. Usually I get settled down pretty quick, and things start to make sense. I know the “red guy” doesn’t like that… but I love it!!! :)
